This just in from WISH-TV8:
INDIANAPOLIS - Suspended Perry Township School Superintendent Douglas Williams filed a federal lawsuit Tuesday against two school board members. 24-Hour News 8 obtained a copy of the lawsuit. In it, Dr. Williams claims Susan Adams and Nancy Walsh denied him due process by publicly announcing his contract will be terminated before a hearing had taken place. The lawsuit asks a judge to keep the two school board officers from voting on the contract termination. Williams is also seeking unspecified monetary damages.
Things are getting much more interesting now.

I’ve believed the school board violated due process and I’m really happy to see Dr. Williams call them on it. Way to stand up for yourself and your reputation!
I, too, applaud Dr. Williams lawsuit against the two board members who have instigated this whole situation and who continue to exacerbate it by their refusal to engage in any reasonable and professional conversation to end the very dangerous path they have taken. I would also support a similar lawsuit against them by Mr. Terry Rice, one of the finest teachers in Perry Township, who has also been slandered by these women. The accusations these women have made regarding both Dr. Williams and Mr. Rice are definitely libelous and must be challenged in a court of law.
Somehow this situation must be stopped before irreparable damage is done to Perry Township Schools. In numerous conversations I have had regarding the Perry Township debacle, persons both inside and outside the township have expressed dismay, disgust, and utter disbelief that four women, three in particular, can cause this once excellent and proud school corporation to plummet in public opinion. Our children are suffering because of this apparent vendetta against Dr. Williams. Let’s please bring civility and professionalism back into the debate and once again put the welfare of our children and our grandchildren first. Diane Metheny
UNBELIEVEABLE!!
This is all they have??
They need to get over their personal agendas and grudges. Apologize big time to the residents of Perry Township, their fellow board members and especially Dr. Williams. After they apologize they should resign.
Please ladies, stop the MADNESS!
Thank you Dr. Williams for bringing this out in the open. I hope that you are able to return and somehow the four leave. Unfortunately, Nancy and Barb have three more years.
