I’d like to add that yesterday was a very important day for the 5th grade students at Rosa Parks Edison. They are working VERY hard on “Exchange City”. With that, they dressed up yesterday and provided lunch to community guests that they invited to conduct job interviews with the students. The students were all well prepared and excited about the event. They invited the school board members to be a part of this exciting opportunity. Mrs. Houchin graciously accepted the invitation, and the students were thrilled that she came. On the other hand……..Mrs. Walsh refused to come unless she had armed security guards provided to ensure her safety!! Her safety?? From 5th graders??? How insane is that?? Does Mrs. Walsh suffer from delusions of grandeur?? Or delusions of paranoia??? Of course the students were disappointed with her “no show”. I guess MRs. Walsh feels that she is in danger because she points her finger and lashes out at everyone in the public, and she expects that we may retaliate in the same childish manner. So now, will she be expecting MSDPT to provide her a private security officer to escort her to the grocery, restaurants, and movie theaters, too?? If she can’t stand the heat….she needs to GET OUT OF THE KITCHEN!!!!!!!

I don’t understand what the problem is, you wanted to know what kind of things they had on Doug and yet even with the proof in front of Steve he said they were lies. I guess I was wrong about you, and you really don’t want to know the facts. Seems to me that they can’t say these things in public unless they are true or at least they have to be able to back them up. I have read several lies coming from (I’m ashamed to say) teachers and others. Not All Teachers Lie only some who are maybe guarding the special favors they stand to lose if Williams is gone. I know many Teachers in this township who are GREAT Teachers and honest people. I also know that many do not Williams to come back for the reasons I have given before unfair treatment. They will not come forward because they are afraid of losing their jobs, and Terry Rice. Again sounds like Bulling to me. Some I know for a FACT are not true. I’m afraid that the only ones who are make a bunch of money over this ordeal is going to be lawyers. I was also impressed with your wife’s (Kim) display of class at the meeting. She of many chanting and yelling and carrying on. Which is WHY the girls left. I also heard that Gayle Houchins has claimed that she was assaulted by Nancy Walsh. I don’t believe that for one minute. I also read on the Indy blogs that there is a parent out there who video taped the meeting as well and I am actively looking for them now. And I promise if that did indeed happen I will EAT my words! But I really don’t think that it will be necessary. I’ve done my homework on some issues and some doings of some people’s involvement with some shady actives. Yes I am vague, I’m not gonna tip my hand. I have my own opinions (as do you). I am disappointed in you though, and I wanted to tell you that. I (like a fool) really believed that you were searching for the truth about these dealings for the sake of your son. What I heard was that Williams REFUSED to work with these women. And basing it only on what I personally have experienced with Williams and his administration I have to say I believe it. Williams wants to be the one and only chief. Should it have been handled in a better way? Yes Could it of been handled in another way? Not as long as Gayle Houchins and Steve Maple sit on the board. Reason I say that is because they are BOTH personal friends and they have BOTH would of told Williams what was up and he would of covered (he does so well) his tracks. They are on the board BUT they both SERVE Williams first not the board. Which by the way is what they we elected to do. These statements are my opinions and I am entitled so no law suits please.
I’m pretty sure that there will be more to come out because they have not used the things that I have given them yet. I’m hoping this will come to an end soon because these people who are getting on all these blogs spitting out all these mean spirited lies are making Perry Township look like a Soap Opera.

Thanks for coming back to the site. The problem with the information that Susan shared in her statements is that they are perfect examples of half-truths and twisted details. Her statements about the salary and benefits of one member of the staff of MSDPT were plainly incorrect and he shared the actual details Monday night. I just posted on the www.takebackperryschools.com website that her concerns and partial facts about Edison schools were incorrect. Her details about the $700 tenderloin dinner were based on actual facts and figures, but they were not inflated because of ANYTHING Dr. Williams did, I’ll be posting more details about that soon. Then there’s the 360 degree turn that she feels teachers should make, it’s small but you’d think she’d know a little bit of math. Or, what about the misconstrued facts about graduation rates? Yes there are numbers that exist that she’s stating, but it’s for a method of computation that is not used as a standard by the state. She should also educate the public about how the state identifies graduation rates, a teacher Monday night did that and I was informed greatly today about them (I’ll also be posting about that soon).

Contrary to what you believe, I am VERY interested in the facts, and from what I’ve seen Susan isn’t connected to them, or is and chooses not to educate herself on their usage or purposeful twists them.

As far as some of your accusations, what are the FACTS you have to back them up. Do you know that teachers are somehow getting “special favors” from Dr. Williams?

One of your accusations is about bullying. If that’s the case, what about the bullying of parents and teachers VERY publicly by the four board members at school board meetings and in private? What about the illegal bullying of concerned citizens and parents by one of the board member’s ex-husband or whatever he is? What about the condemnation by Rubie Alexander of teachers not providing the same level of education to black students as to white?

Accusations to my wife? Don’t leave out all the details. Nancy’s mom kept looking back and staring at my wife for no reason. I’m assuming the “girls” you’re mentioning are the ones that were sitting in the row in front of us. They weren’t interested in what was going on at all. They were busy watching videos on their iPod and chatting with each other. Getting back to my wife, she had had enough of Nancy’s mom staring at her and stuck out her tongue. She probably could have restrained that action, but at a point you’ve got to do something to give it back to people. That leads to the chanting. My wife only started chanting when the four board members ignored and trampled on their elected responsibility to represent the people. I guess you’d fault any oppressed individual for getting fed up and not taking it anymore.

Now to Gayle Houchins and Nancy Walsh. Gayle was absolutely assaulted by Nancy Walsh. Now Nancy Walsh never hit her, but she did verbally threaten to do so I believe three times. I have already been contacted by numerous individuals who witnessed the entire scene and have already committed to testify against Nancy Walsh if/when charges are pressed against her. As that altercation came to an end and the police got involved, Nancy Walsh’s mom again got into the thick of things and had to be pulled away by Mr. Walsh. Let’s talk about class now.

I have a video of the entire meeting, it is a copy of the one that’s produced by the township. I hope to begin putting clips of that meeting on the site so people can see for themselves some of the antics and behaviour of our board.

Next? Dr. Williams refusing to work with these women. I won’t fault you that Dr. Williams could do a better job of working with some individuals, but honestly I may not want him to do so. As was pointed out Monday night and you would have heard it if you had stayed, is that Dr. Williams is a highly educated and experienced leader. He is the type of person you’d look for to hire as the CEO of your company. Why? Because he gets the job done. Sure, they’ve got strong Type A personalities and are gruff and as he says in his own words a “smart-ass”. Honestly, that’s what I’m looking for in a leader, someone who can LEAD! I don’t want someone that’s going to sway back and forth with whatever is popular at the minute. I want somene that has set before us a vision of what can be accomplished and will drive us there amid the complaining and belly-aching of individuals who don’t get it their way whenever they want it.

Again, I can’t believe the anti-Williams group continue to complain about Dr. Williams having “friends” in his staff, administration and on the board. Could you please tell me where you work? Or where these four board members work? I want to make sure you all have absolutely no positive and friendly relationships with the people you work with. THEN you might be able to use that argument, but you’d still be wrong.

If I got a new job leading a large organization, and I needed to fill some positions, the first people I’d call would be my close friends. You know why? Because I know if I’m working with people that I respect and know their opinions, more will be accomplished. Next time you get to choose employees be sure and put “HATE MY GUTS” on one of the requirements for the position.

More will definitely come in the future. I’ll be here making sure I understand what the facts are and that the right decisions for the future of Perry Township are being made, not necessarily just for my kids but for the whole and absolutely not just for the purpose of making sure the entire school board is happy. I don’t care if you’re not happy with how things are going, just do your job, which is to improve education in our township and I don’t think a single one of these four ladies can claim anything they’ve done in the past 3 months has done that.

Wanted:

Superintendent who has no guts; willing to work with people with heads in dark places; Must desire to be micromanaged by incompetent fools; willing to accept verbal abuse and on occasion threats of physical abuse. Must be able to read and deflect persons with symptoms of PMS or personality disorders. Must be able to validate delusions of grandeur.

Superintendent experience not needed, not desired, not appreciated.

If you are trusting in them to act on your behalf, I fear you will be disappointed. I will take Douglas Williams over Nancy Walsh 1000 out of 1000 times when it comes to being fair and following the rules and regulations that govern how special needs children are served in schools.

Look in the mirror. The real problem you have with the school district is probably looking back at you. I am not sure why you demand that others meet your criteria for reasonableness when you refuse to afford them the same courtesy. It is kind of like saying, “Hi Kettle. I’m Pot. You are black,”

The point you are missing is that this is not personal to us. For most of the anti-Williams group (including you) it is personal. You keep listing all of the errors made by the pro-school district folks in subjective terms. A little objectivity would serve you well.

If you stop treating this mess as an opportunity to carry out a personal vendetta against Dr. Williams, you will be able to see that the anti-Williams board members are doing nothing different than what they are accusing Dr. Williams of committing. I have close friends that are faculty and staff members in MSDPT. Several of them have been approached by Nancy Walsh and Barbara Thompson and told that, “Remember, it is important to have friends on the school board.” Others have been threatened with termination if they did not “stop providing inside information” to opponents of their policies.

They are no different than what they are accusing Dr. Williams of being. If you can’t see that, you are blinded by your vendetta. Worse you are causing the education of my children to be disrupted. I really do not like you messing up the education of my children.

Joe Mamma~ I hope you do get a copy of the tape and watch it. I was sitting right in the front watching the altercation between Mrs. Walsh and Mrs. Houchin. It was Mrs. Walsh who approached Mrs. Houchin, who was still seated and had to turn around in her chair. Mrs. Walsh verbally attacked her and threatened to physically attack her. I’m sorry you have a hard time believing it….but it is the absolute truth!! I am an eyewitness and hope I get my chance to testify in court!

These women are in deeper than they ever imagined. In the October Board Meeting, the public spoke of the troubles in the 1980’s and begged the ‘gang of 4′ to not take Perry Township back to that time. The gang did not listen. Edison Schools, the only thing I really care about them honestly, Is that I as a taxpayer am not going to be taxed out my xss.
I trust that they are good schools. I trust that they have good programs. I must say I was a bit concerned about the behavior of some of the teachers at the board meetings. These people teach our future generation. That I am concerned with. I understand that they were frustrated over SOMETHING at the Oct.9th. meeting but it’s a little gray as to WHAT. Now people don’t get that upset for no good reason right? I would like to know what then?
Then I hear that Nancy Walsh and Barbara Thompson have filled Police Reports on Doug Williams and Terry Rice for threatening to burn down houses and bb guns, shotguns, etc.
I have also heard that the Edison teachers who were at the meeting at Rosa-Parks (10-3) say that it didn’t happened.
I’ve also read the notes taken at the meeting by the two women who were also there. I don’t know if they were hiding like some claim and frankly I really don’t care. If these things were really said, THAT I do care about.
I have Never heard or read anywhere a statement from Terry Rice and the only thing I have heard Doug Williams say was at the Oct.9th meeting he did NOT denied it only that “he could be a smart xss sometimes and he got caught up in all the politics.” I’ve also never read a statement from him either. What politics?
I did hear Nancy Walsh challenge Doug to take a lie detector test along with her.
I know he has not.

Graduation rates, I saw or heard on the news on T.V. that we were ONE school ABOVE IPS. IPS being on the BOTTOM of the list.
That I care about. I want our kids to do and be better than that.

I am again assuming that you are talking about not getting to be heard at the board meetings.
I think that you SHOULD be heard, I personally want to hear BOTH sides, but let’s be honest here there is a lot of yelling and hatefulness anger total mob type behavior.
I think that EVERYONE needs to have a xell of lot more self control than I’ve seen in a longgg time. It really doesn’t matter (at this point) why you are angry. Everyone is angry. Set it aside and state your case without yelling, demanding them to quit, With some kind of example of how we would want our children to behave at a similar event.

What I can say about that, Damn, I would of liked to of seen that. Now I’m not being a smart xss about it, but then I would know who is lying. Someone clearly is not being honest about this one. I have heard both sides and who the xell knows. If you have it on video I also would like to see it. I won’t want to eat my words but I will. And I agree if this took place it also shows no class.

Doug Williams is not right for this job in my opinion, Reason I say this, He has NO compassion towards the parents, When parents try to communicate with him when problems arise he has NO time for them. Now I am NOT saying that Every little problem that comes up should be dealt with by Doug Williams. But after being ran around PETC for 7 months there comes a time when the BIG GUY needs to step in and fix the problem. If he had done this, there would not be so many parents upset with him and want a change. The business side of him he may very well be great at,(as long as it’s on the up and up) but that’s not his WHOLE job. If you are going to work in the school, then you also have to work with all parents and kids with concerns.

The problem I have with that is bias check and balances.
How good of friends are they? Will they look the other way if I do this?
Is it true that Kathleen Carter is/was his girl friend?
Did she get her position ahead of anyone else due to that fact?
It’s questions like this, this is why it is not a good ideal.

I also want to see the best for ALL children in our schools. I did not see that last year. This year has not been bad so far.. I have found that the school works better with me this year. I don’t know if it is the fact that they now know that I won’t be stifled, or because Terry Thompson is no longer there. He in my opinion is a Big Bully.

I have NO personal vendetta against D.Williams I don’t know the guy, never meet him. He didn’t have time, we weren’t important enough. Like I said before If he is gonna work in schools he has to work with ALL parents and kids. He didn’t do that. Instead I got ran around PETC for 7 months. That’s when I started looking to make a change. I tried to talk to him, he wouldn’t do it. I needed his help in stopping DEATH THREATS against my child. He wouldn’t meet with me. At sometime you would think that captain would control his ship. It may not be important to you but it is very important to me. My child and I went through pure hell last year and Williams would not help. I believe that DEATH THREATS would warrant some priority.

I’m not counting on anyone fighting my battles for me. I can handle that myself. I’ve done fine so far.

I don’t know of any threat made by board members to any teachers, I don’t approve of threats made by ANYONE. So I think you don’t know me as well as you might think.
I want this over with as well. I just happen to think that Williams is unable or unwilling which ever the case may be to work with parents who need for him to step in and help. That is/was part of his job too.

They HAVE listened to me which is more that I have gotten before. I don’t have personal insults, I only know that we were not treated right and I would do what I could do to change that. My intention was so that NO other family go through the hell we went through last year.

I want to see this tape very much so. I don’t approve of violence of any kind. If I saw this it would most definitely make me rethink a few things. I as a regular parent not a teacher/boss. As I said before my case was Death Threats and I believe it SHOULD of been important enough for him to at the very least listen to and help with it.
I in no way am speaking for the board, first of all, the teachers are teachers I have spoken to and NO ONE knows who they are and only now do they know what they have said.

Read the site! I am searching for information. If there are 1/2 truths there, please tell me what they are. Again, do not pull things from here and there, stick to what Adams has stated in writing on her site.

Something else to think about. I have read over and over on this site that the board is doing exactly what they accuse Dr. Williams of doing. Hum! You don’t seem to like that. My point is that I would guess that the board doesn’t like it either. However, they have the power to remove Williams whenever, and we have the power to remove the board at the next election.
