Just came across this article in the Indy Star about parents in Clark-Pleasant school district forming a watchdog group to help guide their school district.
“We hope that we can always come to them with great input and suggestions and we’ll be treated open-mindedly,” she said. “Ultimately we hope we influence them on the things that the majority of the community feels.”
This is a great move and one that I think more and more school districts should be seeing popping up around the country. We need to get more parents involved and informed of what’s happening in our schools and for our students.
