This is the content of an e-mail that was sent by Gayle Houchin when she first learned of the plans of the four board members intent on removing Dr. Williams from his position as Superintendent.
Good morning All.I received a call from Susan Adams and Nancy Walsh a few minutes ago. Susan Adams, Nancy Walsh, Barbara Thompson, and Rubie Alexander have made a decision,  without any discussion with Steve Maple, Jo Ellen Buffie, or myself, to terminate Dr. Williams as our superintendent. They intend to present a resolution at the school board meeting this evening to place Dr. Williams on leave and to buy out his contract.Never, in the history of Perry Township, has there been a greater need for the community to come together. The school board meeting will begin at 6:30 at PTEC. Parents, teachers, students, and others who support Dr. Williams and our schools must be present to show their support. Please do what you can to let others know and stress the importance of their attendance.Susan Adams, Nancy Walsh, Barbara Thompson, and Rubie Alexander discuss and decide school board issues outside of public meetings, and to the exclusion of the other 3 board members. They conspire to make decisions that they know will be opposed by other board members, so they simply ignore us. We met recently with a facilitator from the Indiana School Board Association (a facilitator Mrs. Adams selected) to help the board understand its proper role. It was made clear by that facilitator that the conduct of “the majority” was improper. They seem not to care. Now is the time.Gayle Houchin

I wonder if Gayle realizes she is compromising herself by letting her emails be published like this on this forum. She is not only breaking bylaws, but also breaking IC.
I think it would be comparable to publishing letters from administrators and board members on another website called “Perryschools.info”.
To Kelley M/S,
Please back your accusation with some evidence and/or a citation from the bylaws with your interpretation of what constitutes a violation.
All email received and sent to a school district email account is a matter of public record and copies of this electronic correspondence must be provided to anyone that requests it. This is covered under Indiana’s version of the FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) contained in two different Indiana statutes) Access to Public Records – Indiana Code 5-14-3) and (Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA) Indiana Code 26-2-8).
Prior to posting your response it would be beneficial to ensure that the bylaw you desire to cite is not in violation with Indiana law.
Thanks for participating in this discourse.
